My commitment is to create Fine Art Photographs and Fine Art Drawings and Paintings. These works of art are images that are artistically inspired and demonstrate technical excellence. Both of these aspects of my work is necessary in order to provide the viewer with an enjoyment of the work.

For me, my photography is about capturing the fleeting moments in life of people and other living creatures. An instant which reveals character, personality, temperament-the unique nature of an individual or animal. Occassionally, I will use a photograph as the basis for a drawing or painting. In fact, my passion for photography was born out the desire to draw and/or paint people and animals from my photographs.

After each session of captured (RAW) images, I perform a post-processing session to make adjustments to my satisfaction. These adjustments include global color levels, color balance, brightness and contrast to satisfy my taste.

When it comes to composition, occassionally I will collage multiple captures into a single image. The intent of these collages is to enhance the view in such a way that the final image is expanded beyond any of the single captures. These collages begin to form as I capture images in different locations while visulizing their use for an image not yet fully conceived.

When necessary, I also clone elements that I deem unaesthetic or unnecessary. These elements are natural features that I could not modify either before or during image capture. For example, branches or twigs that intrude into the body of a beautiful bird in a tree.

The art that I produce, whether digital or painting or drawing, is an extension of my passion for excellence in all my endeavors be it a fine artist, photographer, personal chef, software developer or industrial designer. Fundamentally, I long to express what I see and experience in the world around me.
